I have a degree in physics and now specialise in surface science, studying for a PhD with the Surface Physics Group at the University of York.

Having achieved a Master of Physics (MPhys) degree from The University of Newcastle Upon Tyne I went on to study for a PhD in the Physics Department at the University of York. There I have worked with the Surface Physics Group to study a variety of materials. We have a particular interest in two dimensional rare earth silicides. The group is one of the main users of the Daresbury MEIS Laboratory. As well as performing MEIS offsite the group also has two STMs, a fully hemispherical LEED and other cutting edge apparatus. See the SPG Homepage for further details.

Here I briefly try and describe some of the things I do, and point towards further resources (why reinvent the wheel, hey?).
